À propos de ce contenu audio

This podcast is a daily account of all the things that went wrong in a single day on Riggin Farm. We will also share the wins we had as well, because farming is not all doom & gloom despite it feeling that way sometimes. It is meant to be entertaining, but also educational at times. Starting a first-generation regenerative farm on a shoestring budget is not an easy task, and we want to share our experiences to help others who may be considering starting a farm or homestead, are already in the middle of it, or people who got out of farm life (or homestead life) after too many days like ours.

Welcome to What Went Wrong on the Farm Today! — the daily(ish) chaos report from a real working farm where everything is beautiful… and also somehow always on fire (sometimes metaphorically, sometimes almost literally).

Each episode is a quick, honest, and occasionally ridiculous recap of the curveballs that come with raising animals, growing food, and keeping a farm (and your sanity) running. Expect farm mishaps, hard lessons, tiny wins, and a whole lot of “how is this real life?”

      Episode 1: Electrocution

Today’s farm adventure: installing a tankless water heater for our wash/pack building… and I got electrocuted in the process. Yep. I’m okay, but it was a very loud reminder that electricity does not negotiate. In this episode, I walk through what happened, what we think caused it, what I did immediately after, and what I’m doing differently from here on out so it doesn’t happen again.

Important: I’m not an electrician and this episode isn’t instructional, it’s a farm story + a safety reminder. If you’re dealing with electrical issues, please get a qualified professional involved.
