vic smyth is the pen name of an old man who resides on the outskirts of the Land North; a life-long spiritual seeker, religious dabbler and meditator; patiently awaiting the advent of the Great Flood.
When i, vic smyth was a young man, some forty years ago, i wrote The Young Man and the Old Man (YMOM) eventually publishing it online. Due to my lack of promotional skills, only 16 copies were distributed, but a handful of readers left rave reviews.
During the pandemic lockdown, i looked for uplifting books to read and was surprised how difficult they were to find. Then, i rediscovered YMOM after recalling that one of the readers said in a review that "the little book lifted my spirits for the entire day".
In 2022 i shared YMOM with Heather Smith who suggested publishing it as an audiobook.
And so, in this world where there is a dearth of uplifting reading material, i again offer YMOM as a form of 'innertainment' in the hope that through it others may be nourished spiritually and find their souls inspired.
