Tomasz Tomczyk

Tomasz Tomczyk is an author, capoeira instructor and PMP-certified project management professional whose work explores the connections between movement, leadership and organisational life.

For more than fifteen years, he has worked with international companies in project management, global process governance, product ownership and business transformation. His career has involved leading complex change, working across cultures and time zones, and helping teams turn ambitious ideas into practical ways of working.

Alongside his corporate career, Tomasz has spent more than two decades practising and teaching capoeira. He founded and leads an independent capoeira organisation in Poland, where his experience includes teaching, developing instructors and organising workshops, camps and community events.

His first nonfiction book, Never Fully Still: What a Martial Art Teaches About Resilience, Teams, and Change, brings these two worlds together. It explores what twenty years between the training hall and the office taught him about adaptability, cooperation and leadership.

Tomasz holds an MA in English philology. He learned Portuguese through capoeira songs, rodas and conversations with visiting mestres, and is also a musician and photographer. He lives in Łódź, Poland.
