ROBIN BANKSY is a thirty-year romp through London’s art world, seen through the eyes of its narrator: a thirsty, ambitious, fame-hungry photographer turned art dealer. Hell-bent on making mischief, Robin accidentally finds himself pitched against the global phenomenon artist and activist BANKSY.

ROBIN BARTON is an art dealer and founder of the controversial art dealership ‘Bankrobber’, which specialises in the removal, restoration and sale of Banksy street works. Littered throughout this memoir are anecdotes and observations on how the ‘Art World’ was successfully hijacked by exiled City traders and turned into the money-laundering ‘Art Market’ of today. All set against the background of a London of lost drinking dens and louche behaviour.

BANKROBBER PUBLISHING is an independent publishing house founded in 2026. A performative ‘Trojan Horse’ standing proudly in the empty square of a tired literary citadel, its walls protected by the gatekeepers of old, the enemy within.
