Regina Dawn Akers is the author of Claire of the Shifting Winds, a historical novel set in 1770s Louisiana, Comanchería, and Nuevo México, following a young French woman's journey from abandonment and shame toward a freedom that transcends all others. It is Regina's fiction debut, though not her first book. She is a retired spiritual teacher, the founder of Awakening Together, and the author of several works on non-dual spirituality.

Regina lives in Beulah Valley, Colorado, within sight of Greenhorn Mountain—the landscape that inspired Claire of the Shifting Winds.

Some of Regina's prior works include Tao Te Ching: An Interpretive Translation to Live By and Thoughts of Awakening: 365 Thoughts for Contemplation.
