Milan Kovačević

Milan Kovačević is a horror fiction author from Novi Sad, Serbia, recognized for his work in both horror and dark fiction across Serbia and the wider Balkan region. He established himself on the literary scene with his independently published horror collection Vragovesti, which was later also released in Poland by Planeta Czytelnika.

His latest collection, Jalovište, quickly attracted a strong readership following its release, with an afterword by renowned horror critic Dejan Ognjanović of Rue Morgue. In addition to his collections, Kovačević has published short stories and novelettes in regional anthologies, magazines, and literary journals.

His work has also been recognized beyond the region, leading to collaborations with international publishers such as The Hive, KJK Publishing, DarkLit Press, Dark Holme Publishing, Wicked Shadow Press, CultureCult Magazine & Press, Hellbound Books, and Planeta Czytelnika.

Alongside his fiction writing, Milan Kovačević is the editor of Crnoslovlje, the only horror magazine in the Balkans, through which he actively supports the promotion of horror literature and its authors throughout the region.
