Maybelyn H. Plecic

Maybelyn H. Plecic is a technologist who values governance, security, and AI ethics, a US Army Reserves veteran, a black belt in karate, a mother of four, and a lifelong believer that the world can be better than the one we were given.

She joined the Army Reserves at nineteen — the same age as Vitamae — as a Paralegal. She has practiced Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Muay Thai, boxing, and Kali sticks. She has worked in technology for over two decades, including collaboration solutions, network engineering with governance, and security best practices, often as the only woman in the room.

She is a mother of four sons, and she has spent her life fighting systems that were not built for the people inside them.

The Mirantibus Trilogy is autobiographical through fiction. Vitamae is Maybelyn. The drought is real. The dictatorship is real. The journal is real. The refusal to be silent is real. The only thing that is fiction is the flying city — and she is working on that.

She writes on a USB typewriter because she believes that every word should cost effort. She carries a leather journal because she believes that handwritten truth cannot be hacked. And she built this trilogy because she looked at the world and decided that the best way to fight what is broken is to show people what healed looks like.

She lives with her family and has the stubborn belief that hope is not a feeling — it is a choice you make every day when you refuse to give up on each other.
