I'm so glad you are here! I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, in the 1960s and 1970s. I was "different" before people gave my type of different a name. I was sometimes called the girl who didn't speak. Without support or guidance I figured out my own way to navigate in the world. I write about my life, and have since fifth grade. I am writing my life story under a pen name in order to protect my own privacy, and the privacy of people in my stories. These are the stories I have wanted to share for decades, but I was not comfortable doing so until some members of the family had passed. I am literally the lady down the street, the one who smiles at your dog first, and you second.
