Marnie McBain

Marnie McBain is an Alberta author, accountability counselor, and intuitive empath whose work has always lived at the intersection of truth-telling and transformation.

After walking away from a traditional 9–5 lifestyle, she spent years worldschooling and traveling on a budget with her young son — an experience chronicled in her travel memoir Memoirs of a Single Traveling Mom. That journey through unconventional motherhood, reinvention, and resilience reshaped her understanding of freedom, education, and what it truly means to live on one's own terms.

With professional training in counseling and hypnotherapy, alongside lived experience navigating trauma, healing, and self-directed change, Marnie's work bridges grounded psychology with intuitive insight. She is a writer unafraid to go where the conversation gets uncomfortable.

The 13th Cardinal is her first novel — a spiritual thriller about a woman who gains access to the Vatican's most restricted archive and discovers that the most dangerous truths are the ones that were never meant to be found.

She writes from the Alberta foothills, as close to the mountains as possible.

You are not here to conform. You are here to choose consciously — own your path on your own terms.
