"Persistence is Omnipotent"

Never give up! No matter what is put in front of you to block your way. It is YOUR life and you get to live it as you choose. Persistence is something that we should all embrace. Never allow anyone to tell you that you are not smart enough, tall enough, the right sex, the right color, the right nationality, the right economic class, the right person. If you want something, or to do something, you must never allow people to discourage you -- you must be persistent and never give up!!!

Then start to dream!

We need to dream because out of those imaginative moments are born hopes that make our lives great. We need to follow our dreams and find a path that makes life challenging and fulfilling at the same time. Those dreams might bring tears but the tears are always worth the achievements and experiences at the end.

Little could I have ever dreamed that a factory-workers' daughter from outside Detroit, Michigan, with no money in her pockets or family to support her, would travel to more than 80 countries, write a score of books, and obtain a Ph.D. And ... along the way, find a wonderful companion to share life. As we take one step toward our dreams then other dreams and hopes begin to form--and suddenly, we have accomplished and lived a life that we could have never dreamed about when we were younger.

Whatever you want to do or be remember that people are important. Learn to love them. Learn to love yourself, your friends, and your families. Take a step toward helping others and, sometimes, think more about those people than you think of yourself.
