I was born in Poland and came to the United States as a political refugee after living in West Germany.

My life has taken me through alcoholism, recovery, personal loss, forgiveness, and more than three decades of love with my partner, Wayne, who lives with quadriplegia following a spinal cord injury.

Today, I am Wayne's full-time caregiver. Through our shared experiences, I have discovered a different understanding of love, gratitude, acceptance, and the freedom to give without obligation.

TWO MEN: A Journey into Love, published in English and Polish, is my personal account of that journey. I share my experiences not to teach others how to live, but in the hope that readers may recognize something of their own lives within my story.
