James A. Luginbyhl

James A. Luginbyhl is a Texas writer and the author of *Hymns for the Unfinished: A Memoir of Grief, Grace, and Becoming*. Raised beneath the wide skies of West Texas, he writes about faith, grief, fatherhood, masculinity, memory, and the slow work of becoming.

His work comes less from formal theology than from lived experience—from ranch roads and broken relationships, from loss and failure, and from the stubborn hope that Christ remains present in unfinished lives.

James also hosts CREDO, a podcast in which a layman explores what he believes, why he believes it, and whether faith can hold up against doubt, suffering, and ordinary life.

He lives in Texas with his wife, Addie.
