Eleanor Joy McDonald

Eleanor Joy McDonald was brought up on a dairy farm near Woodstock, ON.
Graduating from WCI, she became a shorthand court reporter.
Eleanor married Lloyd John McDonald, a technician at Northern Telecom, London. Moving closer to his work, they attended Byron Baptist, where they heard about Trans World Radio (TWR), a missionary radio station. Lloyd was called to use his electronic skills in the Lord’s work. In 1973, they left with their three children and little dog to serve with TWR on the Island of Bonaire, Caribbean Netherlands.
Returning to Canada in 1984, Lloyd, outdated by new technologies, switched to building maintenance; Eleanor to office work. 1990-1999, they managed First Baptist’s seniors’ complex, Waterloo. Eleanor typed manuscripts, enabling Alfred Wiener, Basilea Schlink, Gordon and Hazel Tayler to publish their books.
Until retirement, Eleanor returned to court reporting, Lloyd to building maintenance.
Eleanor is also an artist as well as an author.
