Christian Kang Bachini writes high-concept, cinematic horror that combines science-fiction spectacle with supernatural horror—and just enough gallows humor to smile through the dread. Born in Italy, he abandoned the idea of a sensible career at twenty-three and moved to the Far East to chase a martial-arts acting dream. He learned Mandarin, took punches for a living, choreographed fights for film, and worked across Asia and Europe as both a performer and producer. In 2021, horror came calling. Loudly. He stepped behind the camera to direct ESCALATION, an award-winning proof-of-concept short he plans to develop into a feature following the film’s successful festival run.
