Bruce Donnelly

Writer and filmmaker, Bruce has produced and directed award-winning films including The Black Mambas (shortlisted for an Academy Award nomination) and the acclaimed Cuban feature film Alumbrones. His latest film project, The Elephant Corridor, follows the groundbreaking plan to protect a threatened elephant habitat and perhaps the last true wilderness on earth.

Born and raised in South Africa, a fair amount of his childhood was spent in the bush, which may explain his love of wild creatures.

Recent good reads include Spectacles by Sue Perkins, This Much Is True by Miriam Margolyes…and when all else fails there’s always Jeeves and Wooster. The Dragons’ Inn is his debut children’s book and the beginning of a new adventure. Bruce hopes to one day visit the inn himself. Why should they have all the fun?
