Bil Hood

Bil Hood is a pastor, creative leader, producer, and author whose work explores how faith shapes the ways we create, navigate change, recognize calling, persevere, and pass on what matters.

For more than three decades, Bil has brought people together through storytelling, national television productions, live events, and community partnerships. His production experience includes work for Microsoft, Disney, Nintendo, and Starbucks, alongside nonprofit and ministry projects. At Concordia University Irvine, he leads external relations and special events, develops community service partnerships, and produces nationally broadcast PBS programming. His television work has received 25 Telly Awards.

An ordained Lutheran pastor with a master’s degree in organizational leadership, Bil brings Scripture into conversation with personal experience, literature, film, music, and the ordinary responsibilities of life. His five-book series, The Way of Formation, follows a journey through the Torah—from the creative beginnings of Genesis to the wisdom and inheritance of Deuteronomy.
