Becky Allred

Becky Allred is a woman with a purpose. After earning her degree in computer science she decided that wasn’t the life she was meant for. She traded in her motherboard for a pen and began following her true passion: telling stories. Becky finds it the most engaging and rewarding experience, not to mention the most fun. She takes pride in her ability to create a different world while imagining what might happen next.

She has always enjoyed writing, even while continuing to find her style through new techniques and in different genres. That gift manifested when she was very young when she realized that all of the books in her library’s children’s section were way below her reading level.

Becky fashions herself a distant child of the sea. The allure of the ocean is strong in her life, from her favorite pajamas saying, “Seas the day,” to the classic television show Seaquest DSV. Some of her favorite moments have come while taking iconic road trips with her beloved father and popping in a CD of the Moody Blues.
