A. M. Scarlett

Welcome to my corner of the shadows. I am A. M. Scarlett.

I was born with dual Spanish-Canadian nationality and grew up dividing my time between the gothic winters and dense forests of French-speaking Quebec and the oldest libraries in Europe. Today, I am immensely fortunate to call Spain my home. I write from a century-old house in Toledo, a medieval city of cobbled streets where history, legends and mysteries permeate every corner.

My passion for monsters and intense romances has a very real foundation. I completed my undergraduate and postgraduate studies specialising in Classical Literature and the fascinating era of the Spanish Golden Age. Spending years analysing ancient texts, mythological creatures and courts rife with intrigue spurred me to create my own worlds.

I devote my days to crafting expansive worlds of dark romance, urban fantasy and paranormal romance. In my collection of novels, you’ll find an infinite spectrum of overwhelming passions. I write about power-hungry vampire clans, untameable shape-shifters and relentless alphas who demand absolute devotion from their mates. My heroines are lethal women who know how to subdue a predator and cunning mortals ready to conquer the secret societies into which they fall. Constant danger, tension as sharp as a fang and romances that leave their mark are guaranteed on every page.

Life in Spain offers me the perfect balance. When I step away from the keyboard, I devote myself to exploring historic ruins, walking in nature and devouring volumes of ancient mythology accompanied by a cup of lethally strong coffee. I share my lair with two creatures just as territorial as my characters. Fenrir, my dog, acts as the undisputed alpha male and protector of the house, whilst Nyx, my cat, demands to be worshipped with the absolute respect befitting an ancient goddess of the night.

If you’re looking to step into the shadows and let yourself be bitten, you’ve found your new refuge.
