The Demon
I went a little insane getting used to my newly forged path as a demon. My consolation was having a taste of life once a year on Halloween to again be torn back to the fiery home I now had. The only way I could stay amongst the living was to get the soul of a full-blooded witch, and after years of searching I’d finally found one.
The devil had jokes, but I’d have the last laugh this year.
The Witch
The cat ears perched atop my head felt ridiculous, and the whiskers I’d drawn seemed less fun now as I stood beside this handsome stranger. I had planned to spend Halloween with my boyfriend, but here I was getting ready to have drinks with someone I just met.
He keeps looking at me like he wants to eat me, and I’m worried that I might let him.
