Description
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. Though there have been countless stories about me throughout my career and very public personal life, it’s been impossible to communicate the complexities and depths of my experience in any single magazine article or a 10-minute television interview. And even then, my words were filtered through someone else’s lens, largely satisfying someone else’s assignment to define me.
This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.
Writing this memoir was incredibly hard, humbling and healing. My sincere hope is that you are moved to a new understanding, not only about me, but also about the resilience of the human spirit.

About the author and narrator:
Mariah Carey is an American artist of Black and Irish ancestry.
She is an award-winning singer, songwriter, producer, actress, entrepreneur, and philanthropist. She has recorded 15 studio albums and holds numerous industry records, including the most number-one singles of any solo artist in history.
She has received many accolades, honors, and distinctions throughout her career, including the Congressional Award for her charitable work with youth through the Fresh Air Fund's Camp Mariah. She is an inductee into the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Carey remains forever thankful and fiercely loyal to her global family of fans.
Ms. Carey is the mother of two children, Moroccan and Monroe.

Fragile, forte, talentueuse et humaine !
Mariah Carey nous livre une performance exceptionnelle après 30 ans d'une fabuleuse carrière. Oubliez les interviews, ragots, écoutez Mariah exprimer SA vision, ses souvenirs, cette force qui l'a conduite à tant de succès. Une artiste à part entière qui n'oublie pas d'où elle vient, et qui honore ses fans à chaque moment. Comme les chansons qu'elle écrit, ce livre inspire et même si l'on ne se sent pas proche de sa musique, avec ce livre, on ne peut que se rapprocher de l'artiste, de l'humain.

Riveting
I could not stop listening. Even when my headphones stopped working, I carried on listening in the middle of a busy street with the phone to my ear. THAT is how gripped I was. You really never know what people have been through, behind all the glitz and glamour. Bravo to a brilliant musician and a resilient survivor.

Sad, Uplifting and inspiring
An amazing and beautiful written book that needs To be listened ( because Mariah sings some parts in it). I am still waiting for the physical book though that i had preordered on Amazon. Mimi for ever love
J'ai adoré ce livre. Entendre et écouter Mimi fut un plaisir pour moi même si je ne comprenais pas tout. J'ai adoré les passages chantés, et les différentes intonations. Un plaisir vraiment.

Bible of The Queen
This is the bible to every lamb out there. It's honest, emotional, full of funny facts behind iconic moments. The begining of the book is very sad. Mariah is a fantastic reader, her smooth voice is solo relaxing. I love the snippet she does to introduce songs. If you want to really know what and why and how she did this amazing breaking record career , you must listen to this masterpiece.

Wonderful Strong Woman
You have to listen to her. She sings, cries, imitates, scream, laugh with you. Tellin her hard stories. How strong she is through her big hair and champagne, flowless gowns and tricks..As a hard core lamb, Ï love her more as if it was possible !

Les mémoires de Mimi
Le fait que ce soit elle qui raconte son histoire est encore plus précieux, j’avais l’impression de m’asseoir avec elle et de partager un moment en toute intimité. Je comprends mieux son parcours ses choix et son immense talent, elle se livre avec simplicité et sincérité ce qui me fait l’aimer encore plus ✨🤍✨ Une vraie écrivaine et conteuse de talent en plus de cette voix divine qu’elle nous offre en cadeau. A masterpiece🦋❤
i love this book.Mariah delivered a true masterpiece. you can truly understand the meaning of Mariah Carey. What she's been through and how she managed to break through and be the Superb Mariah.

Touchant, drôle et different
Mariah mélange des histoires de sa vie avec des extraits des chansons de l'époque. Trop beau. Si vous parlez pas couramment anglais n'ayez pas peur, elle parle clairement et le vocabulaire du livre n'est pas très compliqué.
