The Bury Down Chronicles

In the windswept hills of medieval Cornwall, the powerful Book of Seasons passes from mother to daughter, entrusted to those who will carry on the sacred traditions of healing and wisdom. Young Megge is meant to inherit this legacy and embrace the path of the healer. But when she touches the book, she is consumed by fear of what she will become if she accepts her birthright. Terrified of the power she does not understand, Megge resists her destiny, even as unrest spreads through her village, and long-buried family secrets rise to the surface.

Cornwall, 1285 CE. Now nearly 17, Megge and Brighida must endure another brutal loss. And as they perform the rites of transition that precede a burial, Megge accepts a daunting new charge that carries consequences not even her cousin the seer can predict. It brings visions. Dreams. And voices that come to her as she goes about her work. A silken voice beckons her back to the cliffs of Kernow, which she has seen only in dreams.

In the breathtaking conclusion of the Goddess trilogy of the award-winning Bury Down Chronicles, vengeance wars with mercy as Megge and Amice return to Bury Down, burdened with one question: Will Megge offer her mortal foe the cure only a woman of Bury Down can dispense?
