Sky Cities

On Tartarus I was born... Soaked in power and secrets, Tartarus is a city for rebels, exiles, and criminals. As a messenger, every shadow is my friend. I know all the secrets of this place. Or, at least, I thought I did. When my best friend, Kida, goes missing, I don't waste any time assuming her identity to draw her or whoever took her, out of hiding. On Tartarus I will die...

Basra is the eternal city - a paradise filled with relics of the old world. We are welcomed into the upper sanctum of Basranian society where sly smiles and wicked eyes tempt us with riches and lavish comfort, yet something seems hopelessly wrong. The city is decaying. A rotten core with a deadly key that unlocks something even more sinister. As an ambassador for Tartarus, it's my duty to bridge the gap between us and the other cities. But even more, as part of this team, it's my right to know the truth.

I never expected that leaving the refuge of Corvallis would result in such dire circumstances. When rogue Rovers commandeer our airship, I'm left with an impossible choice. Stay and risk my life to save the others or let them be captured along with me. There's no question. I choose them. Even if it means I arrive on Bath as a prisoner and slave. Bath is more dangerous, perhaps, than even my home city of Tartarus.
