The Sun King Aquilan Fairlynn’s nephew Darcassan has disappeared into the ruins of Chicago in search of a rift to purple-towered Illithor. Declan, Finley, Aquilan, Rhalyf, Elasha, Helgrom, Snaglak, and Glom all agree to track Darcassan and stop him from intruding on the Night King’s beloved city. For if an Aravae lord steals even a grain of sand from Xelroth Vex it could spell war between the Night and Sun Elves after millennia apart.

The dread Night King Xelroth Vex has brought all of our heroes to the Under Dark to face their pasts, their fears and maybe even their destinies. But while Vex believes he is the one in control, his son, Declan Wilde, has something to say about that. Follow King Aquilan as he discovers his memories are not complete. King Xelroth Vex is now seemingly vacationing in the Aravae Empire, hiding who he is under the glamour of a human. Haera Vex –Rhalyf’s sister –has tracked her brother down and also is undercover as an Aravae. There are now more Vexes in Tyrael than in Nhamashel. What trouble will they cause?
