My Holiday Tails

My husband has horns, hooves, fur, and a tail. His Krampus-like appearance didn't scare me away from marrying him. Forever an optimist, I eagerly agreed to be the first bride shipped under the new liaison program to Voran, a country on the newly discovered planet Neron. The Colonel also has two little boys—a huge plus for me since I adore children. My down-to-earth sister says I live with my head in the clouds. And maybe I naively hoped for an out-of-this-world romance. What I didn't expect was an out-of-this-world brute.

During a mission on planet Tragul, I have the misfortune to get stranded with Lieutenant Agan Drankai, the most arrogant prick in the entire alien army of the country Ravie. I save his life during combat. But the big, tough Agan isn't too pleased having a "tiny" female as a mission partner. When he and I end up separated from the rest, we get captured and brought to a secret lab supposedly operated by our allies. A rogue scientist performs an illegal experiment on Agan, which finally allows the cocky lieutenant to get a taste of his own medicine. 

Aliens came to Earth to abduct our women, but it backfired. Now they're returning them, and I'm in charge of shuttling women back from orbit. Ever since I first laid my eyes on the alien ship's commander, I've had a crush on him. Who can blame me? He's tall and gorgeous, with skin the color of midnight. He has a voice that can purr or roar and seven long tails that he really knows how to use. I know I can't have him. I've never even spoken to him. But when an incident renders the commander unconscious, I have no choice but to take him to my remote hunting cabin.

Double date to celebrate a new year on Neron sounds like an adventure, especially when my blind date belongs to a little-known alien race. As the lead flight attendant of a spaceship, I spend my life traveling. And the new year's celebration finds me on Neron, an entirely new-to-me planet. My blind date, an alien from the planet Aldrai, is huge, strong, and slightly intimidating. But he also turns out to be charming and easygoing, with an intriguing secret tail he keeps hidden from view. I sense Greyx is what heartache is made of. And I avoid taking risks in my life.

Captain Xavran Rax from the planet Aldrai doesn't need a lover, a friend, or even a companion. He's been keeping a secret about his wife's death for over a decade, and the only reason he decides to bring a woman into his household is because he believes it would benefit his four children. Mara Takolsky doesn't find Aldraians even remotely attractive. Neither does she care about children of any species. She accepts the proposal of Captain Rax only because her dead fiance owed a lot of money to the criminals who now wish to collect it from her, either in money or blood.

When I was ten, my mom bought me a pumpkin for Halloween. A year later, it transformed into a bizarre animal that I ended up raising as my dog. Except that it isn't a dog at all. My lazy, lovable pet Pumpkin turns out to be an extremely dangerous fighting machine that never should've been created. Now, those who made him steal him back, taking me along by mistake. I find myself on a haunted spaceship with no crew, hurtling through space with a destination unknown.

As per the marriage agreement between Earth and Neron, Voranian aliens can marry human women, but our species can’t reproduce. Historically, Voranian women have served as surrogates to carry children of the single dads in Voran. The renowned Voranian Professor Thormus is working on a method that would allow the human women married to Voranian men to carry their husbands’ children. Of all the women on Earth, the professor selects me as the subject for his extensive study project.

I came to Voran for a job, not a husband. I’m not opposed to a fun, light fling, but Voranian men love hard, propose fast, and don’t do “casual.” Knowing it, I try to resist the attraction I feel for my Voranian boss, even as I’m falling for this man with his reserved nature, keen mind, and a kind heart. A Ravil from the planet Tragul would be perfect for a no-string fling, especially someone as charming and fun as Orin whom I meet at a Family Day dance. Except that Orin and I realize quickly that we both want more.
