Harley: After the accident 10 years ago that put me in a wheelchair, I did my best to avoid the world and its drama. I lived alone and worked from home. I’d disappear into my safe space for days, maybe even weeks, at which point my cousin always showed up to drag me out of my house to interact with the world whether I wanted to or not. On one of our outings, I meet the most gorgeous man I’d ever seen in my life; Finn Becker.

Life is great. I’m healthy and happy, enjoying every day with my sweet and sassy Finn by my side. Jake is graduating college and starting his new career, and in just a few weeks, Finn and I will be joined together as husbands. But it never fails that, just when you least expect it, life will throw you a curveball. However, no matter what we’re faced with - awkward run-ins with estranged family, painful memories, discrimination - I’m confident that Finn and I can get through the craziness together and find our way to our happily ever after.

If he knew the truth about how much that evening meant to me, he’d probably freak out. I should keep my distance too, but I can’t stay away.

Twenty years ago, there was a terrible accident which put my son in a wheelchair and took the life of the woman whom I thought I’d spend my life with. I became depressed and despondent, and pushed everyone away. I could have lost it all forever, but fate, a little luck, and a firecracker named Finn helped me piece my life back together.
