Chicago Dark Knights

From the age of three, I was obsessed with tutus, leotards, pointe shoes and everything that dancing had to offer. After years of hard work, sweat and tears, I finally was able to make the dreams of the little girl in me come true. Years later, I'm dancing for one of the most respected companies in the world, leaving out a dream and living the best life that I could have ever imagined. Everything was going according to how I'd mapped it out. Except . . .I hadn't mapped out two little blue lines skating into my life after a one-night stand.

The majority of my life has centered around one thing and one thing only. Hockey. Being the daughter of a player, I know the ins and outs of the sport. Including the hurt that can come with it. I've grown to hate it. That hate runs so deep that when a player steps into my life in a towel, I do everything I can to hate him too. After a few summer nights, though, it starts to become impossible.

From the age of five, I knew one thing: Blake Jacobi was going to be in my life for a very long time. For years, he was my protector, my best friend, my shoulder to cry on. I even followed him to Chicago when he got picked up by an NHL team. Then lines got blurred and we landed in each other's beds, but we were able to push feelings aside and not let a few little slips ruin our friendship. At least, that's what I keep telling myself.
