Charlie Crawford Palm Beach Mysteries

This audiobook collection includes three novels, Palm Beach Nasty, Palm Beach Poison, and Palm Beach Deadly, featuring the cynically charming and dashing homicide cop Charlie Crawford as he pursues dangerous criminals and colorful characters.

Burned out by hi-profile murders and his love life splashed all over Page Six, New York homicide cop Charlie Crawford heads south and signs on with the Palm Beach PD. After months of petty crimes, he's first on the scene to find a man hanging from a banyan tree. Prime suspects are a hedge-fund billionaire with a thing for young girls, a bartender with a sketchy past, and right smack in the middle of it, Crawford's girlfriend, a beautiful, conniving gallery owner, ready to do whatever it takes to move up a bracket or two.

Vasily Zinoviev is the last man on earth you would want to say no to. Just ask the working girl who suffered a horrible death while skinny-dipping one night. Or the president of the prestigious Poinciana Club who's sorry he ever laid eyes on the ruthless Russian. Living in a $20 million oceanfront mansion with a harem of mistresses, Vasily and his brother are more than a handful for Palm Beach homicide detective Charlie Crawford.

Knight Mulcahy makes 40 million a year on his top-rated radio show trashing people. Until the night he’s found down at his pool house with his skivvies around his ankles, a bullet in his heart. Enter Palm Beaches finest: homicide cops Charlie Crawford and Mort Ott, who proceed to go in circles as the suspect list ramps up to double digits.

Detective Charlie Crawford is having a tough week. First, Palm Beach’s ex-police chief washes up dead on the beach behind The Breakers. Then Charlie’s friend’s niece is abducted without a trace. As if that wasn't bad enough, his brother just checked himself into a clinic for depression and alcoholism. The good news is Charlie’s love life has never been better...except with the woman he really loves.

Mar-a-Lago...a.k.a. the winter White House. You’d think it would be the last place on earth where a double homicide would take place, right? Think again. And the line-up of suspects? Well, there’s the former porn king of Florida, throwing wild parties with hidden cameras everywhere. The billionaire with all his dirty little secrets. The gambling addict who’s in way, way over his head. And Crawford and Ott, muddling along, trying to get to the bottom of it all.

Someone’s killing the top real estate agents in Palm Beach, then posing them as figures from famous paintings. And homicide cop Charlie Crawford’s on-again, off-again girlfriend could be next. Crawford is up to his eyeballs in suspects, but way short on clues. There's the polo playboy with the sketchy past. The ex-con who’s murdered before. The husband of one of the richest socialites in town. Or someone who might not show up on Crawford’s radar screen until it’s too late.

When a Silicon Valley wonderboy whose company just tanked is found dead in a gruesome pose, Detective Charlie Crawford and his partner Mort Ott swing into action. Only problem is the crime scene is scrubbed clean, and leads…not a one. This comes the day after the cold-blooded murder of an owner of Palm Beach’s most exclusive health club. Who said the high walls and privacy hedges of Palm Beach make it one of the safest places in the world?

When a woman plunges to her death from the penthouse of a Palm Beach hotel, Detective Charlie Crawford rushes to the scene. Arriving at the hotel, one thing is clear: she definitely did not jump. A few days later, Crawford catches a break: seems there was a wild party at the hotel the night of the woman's murder.

A Palm Beach real estate scam has sucked in investors from around the world. And when one of the scammers is taken out by a deadly drone, the suspect list is long. As Crawford explains to his boss, Norm Rutledge: “We got Chinese, we got Iranians, we got not one but two Indian chiefs. We got car salesmen, we got real-estate developers, we got accountants, we got ex-girlfriends, we got executive assistants, we got mafiosi, we got Triads—” he glanced back at Ott—“I leave anybody out, Mort?”

There’s a dangerous cult in Palm Beach. All about philanthropy and altruism, they say. All about sex and money, Crawford and Ott say. Then there’s a brutal stabbing…make that sex, money, and MURDER!

Charlie Crawford’s ex-wife, Jill, is the target of her abusive husband’s cruel rage and would love to have Charlie back. Meanwhile, a very rich man is being held captive in his own home and unless he comes up with twenty million dollars quick, he’s a very rich very dead man.

A brutally murdered Palm Beach society matron with a Harley-Davidson logo tattooed on her upper thigh... A racy website which caters to the most powerful, influential, married men in Palm Beach... An acclaimed female Hollywood producer who’s got a thing for young studs... And if homicide detective Charlie Crawford didn’t have his hands full… a hit is ordered on him!

Crawford and Ott are accused of cold-blooded murder… Crawford’s brother, Cam, comes to town and makes a royal mess of things… Dominica’s steppin’ out on Charlie… And just who is this new sheriff in town? Is she trying to help Crawford and Ott or hang 'em?...

A clueless kid and his girlfriend make a discovery that could make them millions… or more likely, get them killed. Enter Crawford and Ott... in furious pursuit of the couple, on a wild ride which takes them down to Miami, then up to New York, and ends with a red-hot Charlie-Dominica road trip to the Keys. Along the way is a dazzling ex-girlfriend of Charlie’s, and a treacherous array of drug dealers, cutthroat contract killers and a murderous Columbian gang leader.

A legendary sports agent is found floating at the Palm Beach docks. Official conclusion: he was drunk, fell into the Intracoastal, and drowned. But Crawford and Ott aren’t buying it. Not for one second. Suspects? Take your pick: A 375-pound ex-football player whose wife had become far too friendly with the agent? A beautiful client—mistress to a fearsome Russian billionaire—with whom the line between business and pleasure had become hopelessly blurred? The libidinous agent's own girlfriend, strung along by continued promises of marriage once his alleged divorce was finalized?

Someone is killing decadent billionaire fat cats in Palm Beach… and the whole town is cheering him on! In the sun-drenched opulence of Palm Beach, a sniper's bullets are targeting the corrupt elite, sending shockwaves through the community. Then when the killing spreads next door, Palm Beach detectives Charlie Crawford and Mort Ott team up with two West Palm detectives in a frantic race against time to stop a vigilante with a chilling agenda. The killer is a phantom in plain sight, taunting the police and the public alike.

Anything can happen when the super yacht, Boys Night Out, drifts out past the 3-mile limit… The passengers are some of Palm Beach’s richest and most libidinous men in town and the “crew” are twenty of the most smoking hot women around. Throw that together with high-stakes gambling and free-flowing cocktails and something treacherous is bound to take place. Like a shockingly brutal murder! Enter homicide detectives Charlie Crawford and Mort Ott to try to get to the bottom of it.
