A Mike McHaskell Novel

Caged Description

In this re-write of our 2023 best-selling novel CAGED, Marshall Black delves deeper into the gritty world of human trafficking and the love story that emerges from its shadows. Questions are answered, destinies are revealed, and this tale is seamlessly woven into the fabric of the Mike McHaskell Novel Series.

When CIA operative Mike McHaskell accepts a routine mission in Saudi Arabia, he doesn’t anticipate the trap waiting for him. Captured, stripped of his autonomy, and thrown into the dark world of human trafficking, Mike is forced to confront horrors that challenge even his unparalleled training and resilience. But he’s not alone—three women, all fighting for survival, become his unexpected allies in the most desperate of circumstances.

As the four battle to escape their captors, Mike discovers the web of deceit runs deeper than he ever imagined, connecting powerful elites with unimaginable atrocities. Revenge fuels him, but his path is far from straightforward. From deadly showdowns of his own past to quiet moments of raw emotion, Mike must navigate a world where trust is a commodity and every move could be his last.

But escaping isn’t enough. Mike’s darkest instincts resurface as he seeks vengeance for the suffering inflicted on those he’s come to care about. As the lines blur between justice and bloodlust, Mike must grapple with who he’s become—and if redemption is even possible.

Gritty, intense, and unrelenting, CAGED takes listeners on a rollercoaster of action and emotion, exploring the depths of human depravity and the strength it takes to fight back. Updated and reimagined, this is the first chapter in the Mike McHaskell series—a story of survival, sacrifice, and the pursuit of justice at any cost.
