Coached by Joan of Arc book is a dialogue between the listener and Joan of Arc, the woman Mark Twain called “easily and by far the most extraordinary person the human race has ever produced.” As we explore her virtue-infused life, this astonishingly modern woman takes us by the hand, coaches us, whispers wise advice and lessons in noble leadership in our ear. Far from being anachronistic, her way of life and virtuous example is eternally new, for she follows precepts that are above human weakness. Joan is for all of us – men and women of today, living and working in the midst of the world.

One of history’s most admired figures and one of the great lawyers and statesmen of all time, Thomas More was voted “Lawyer of the Millennium” by the Law Society of Great Britain and named “Patron of Statesmen” by John Paul II. More combined immense humanistic learning with an unequaled command of the legal and political traditions of Christendom, forging a profound philosophy of statesmanship and freedom. To this philosophic and cultural achievement, More added the virtues of an exemplary husband, father, and friend and the detachment and interior peace of a saint.

Forgiving is no easy task: in fact, it may be the most difficult endeavor one can undertake. This collection of anecdotes from his life explores his experiences in offering and accepting forgiveness. Life as a priest in the midst of the violent Spanish Civil War offered St. Josemaría countless opportunities to practice forgiveness.
