From ludicrous scenarios ranging from conspiracies behind cryptic crosswords, the perils of dating a banker, and someone accidentally being buried alive, this sketch show takes the normal and makes them ridiculous, all to a backdrop of music. Each episode features a number of these scenarios and along with a core cast of Daniel Rigby, Mike Wozniak, Cariad Lloyd, Henry Paker and Jessica Ransom. Small Scenes also features Sara Pascoe.

Lloyd is well known for her comedy, regularly appearing on panel shows such as QI, Would I Lie To You and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and acting in Give Out Girls and Peep Show among many others. She is prolific in her radio work, including The Cariad Radio Show, and Here Be Dragons. Lloyd is now equally well known for her conversations on grief. And now, You Are Not Alone, Lloyd's first book, which shares her experiences of death at a young age, and how we deal (or don't) with grief.

When Cariad was just fifteen, her dad died. She became the person-whose-dad-had-died; a mess of emotions and questions; a grief-mess. Years later, she began trying to unravel this tightly wound grief. What had happened? What effect had it all had on who she was? She started Griefcast, the podcast that talks openly, honestly and at times cheerfully about life’s most difficult moment: its end.

What you see depends on what you’re looking for.... Nova can do many things. She can speak five languages. She can tell when someone is lying from the sound of their voice. She can even make an excellent sandwich with peaches, pepperoni and pickles...although she can’t convince anyone to try it. But there’s one thing Nova can’t do. She can’t see.
