Max wanted to be a [Baker]. Settle down, bake stuff, and enjoy life. The gods, however, ruined that dream. Max and the team make a decision to return to Igarra's world and try to figure out what has happened since he has been gone. Upon their arrival they learn Max's place as the world champion has been taken by another. He must defeat the new champion or suffer death. They had come in hopes of growing stronger in the tower on a different world. Now once again it seems that there is a game in play and Max and the rest are merely pieces on the board. Can they survive this new threat and return home to their world?

Captured by a powerful foe, Max finds himself teleported to a terrible prison. His black skill, Bob, and Max work together to try and break free, but the mysterious captor stymies them at every turn.
