After Dewster is accidentally locked outside, she finds shelter through a secret tunnel that leads into Chippy's house, which is built under the wishing well.

It was a quiet morning at Fanny's parents' farmhouse. The warm summer breeze was drifting in through her upstairs bedroom window. Fanny loved summertime, especially, being awoken to the sound of her favorite songbirds singing. "It's sure quiet this morning," Fanny thought to herself as she awoke from her sleep. "I don't hear any of the songbirds singing. Something doesn't seem right. I had better go outside and take a look around."
