The shattered shards in a shattered land.... With the fall of the prisoner’s tower, Dariak and his companions head west toward his home kingdom of Hathreneir. The group struggles against feral creatures while striving to avoid the king’s soldiers. With each piece of the Red Jade, Dariak’s powers grow, but - as in Pindington - he can’t always control them. As the group journeys through the opposing kingdoms, each member must confront his or her past. Though they gather allies along the way, the war looms closer and peace seems ever out of reach.

About 50km outside of Cape Town lies the beautiful town of Stellenbosch, nestled against vineyards and blue mountains that stretch to the sky. Here reside some of South Africa’s wealthiest individuals: all male, all Afrikaans - and all stinking rich. Johann Rupert, Jannie Mouton, Markus Jooste and Christo Weise, to name a few. Julius Malema refers to them scathingly as ‘The Stellenbosch Mafia’, the very worst example of white monopoly capital. But who really are these mega-wealthy individuals, and what influence do they exert?

Ever wonder what all the positions are? Think you know every position and that an audiobook on positioning is unnecessary for you? Yes, other author’s may glance over the different types of players but never describe and explain the exact role based on each team’s needs.

This book is a collection of poems written over the course of the author's life thus far. Writing is a way of expression, when words seemed to have failed. It's about a relationship between the author and God. Different than the world might view him. It deals with the struggles and obstacles she has faced. The hope is to reach a world where there is someone who is going through the same thing. We all go through things, we just need to know that it won't last forever. God is faithful, he didn't promise us we wouldn't go through things. He only promised he would see us through them.

In Psalms for Trials: Meditations on Praying the Psalms by Lindsey Tollefson, we see that the psalms are not just pious words for the religious, but they are meant to be our prayers for every trial we face, just as they have been a comfort for generations of Christians before us, including King David and the Lord Jesus. The psalms allow us to pour ourselves out in prayer to God and to receive the comfort that comes from the promises found in his word.

Civilization deconstructed itself like a riot in a madhouse. One minute it all functioned with a standard sort of craziness, and the next it devolved into ten billion psychotic inmates at each other’s throats like suddenly sprung animals. Survivors refer to civilization’s final irrational act as "Terminus", but this is an unofficial label. It simply gives them a handle with which to wield the concept of their end times. It bifurcates their memory. Before. After. In between, an unspeakable river of blood.

Two decades ago, the mage Delminor brought together the shards of the Red Jade in an effort to bring peace to two kingdoms that were ever at war. Instead, his dying efforts decimated both armies and scattered the shards across the lands. Now Dariak, a Hathren mage, seeks the scattered shards of the Red Jade, attempting to unify them with less disastrous results. To begin his quest, he ventures into enemy territory and encounters danger at every turn.

Now you can go where no one has been before: deep inside a mind with high-functioning autism. In his roller coaster of a life, Dylan Volk (aka Dielawn) has lived all over the country, tried to fit in with many different crowds, and been in jail a few times. Now he has written a tell-all book to give you all the juicy details. Don't listen to this book before you go to sleep - you may be up all night!

A player who could hardly defend. A bleak soccer future as a bench-warmer. An athlete who lacked confidence in their game. Are you or a loved one enjoying soccer, but can’t stand not being confident on how to defend? Do you or a child have a problem stopping the team from shooting? Are you a parent or player that would love to stop the dribble of each opponent, but struggle even stopping the foot skills of one player? If any of these situations describe you, you are not alone. Coaches of soccer are good at having the team work together. Sadly, your abilities as an individual are often lost in the team’s tactics unless you are the star player on the team. The coach lets the best player do as they please but every other player must do their job, even though the coach may not always teach exactly how to do that job.

How defenses think and react during a game is not easily understood…or is it? Through countless hours of practice, training, and experience, soccer's elite have shown consistent patterns of in-game skills that when applied, will lead to predictable outcomes - more goals, more assists, and more wins! The current soccer books on the market teach about general knowledge without the clear steps to use skills to quickly get past players on the other team.

"Recovery from the Passage of an Iron Bar Through the Head" is a report by Dr John M Harlow on the case of Phineas P. Gage who survived an accident in 1848 in which an iron rod was driven completely through his head, destroying much of his brain's left frontal lobe, and for the injury's reported effects on his personality - friends considered him “to be no longer Gage." The author states that the case serves to show the wonderful resources of the system in enduring the shock and overcoming the effects of so frightful a lesion....

Rousseau’s discourse on inequality is a fierce criticism of modernity. He traces the journey of humanity from its origin and distinguishes two types of inequality: the natural (or physical) and the moral. The natural inequality stems from differences in age, health, or other physical factors while moral inequality is established by the community.

"What The Moon Brings" takes place in a surreal dreamscape. The narrator strolls through his garden at night and sees strange things in the moonlight. He comes to a stream which turns into a river and brings him to a sea. What he sees then, makes him plunge into the water to escape it, even at the cost of his life.

This horror story takes place on Tempest Mountain in the Catskills, around an old abandoned Dutch mansion of the Martense family. The narrator’s every effort to solve the mystery leads to the death or disappearance of his companions. Finally he discovers that the family had mutated into murderous monsters through centuries of inbreeding.

In this excerpt from her historically significant autobiography first published in 1889, American suffragette, educator, and president of the Woman's Christian Temperance Union Frances Willard gives us a deeper understanding of the ethos of the woman’s temperance movement, as well as the day to day struggles and triumphs of the movement in the US at the time.

How does a progressive woman with southern roots confront the racial tension that exists in our country today? In these poems, Nancy Owen Nelson grapples with how to embrace her ancestry while resisting, as Rev. Dr. Stephen Butler Murray states, “the social sins that drench the soil of that beloved ground” on which her ancestors are buried.

"To Kill a Man" by Jack London (1876-1916) is a story about an intruder being caught by one of the inhabitants of a house. An interesting conversation ensues. At the end, the intruder shames the woman who had held him captive for a while.
