Swan Songs follows hip-hop visionary Leonard Swanson as he works, quits, signs on, and travels the country, playing in small capacity venues for even smaller capacity audiences, for which he gets paid in booze, drugs and a night on a bedbug-ridden mattress somebody dragged in from the street, all the while making the album he thinks will change hip-hop forever.

My best friend’s brother broke my heart five years ago. He left me behind after our summer together to chase his dreams in Nashville. Now he’s back, all rich and famous, and my best friend wants us to write a song together for her wedding. The last thing I want to do is write a love song with the man who broke my heart, but I love my best friend too much to tell her no. He starts trying to win me back again with grand gestures and flirty lines, but I can’t give in. My mother chased my biological father down for years, and all it led to was heartbreak. I won’t repeat her mistakes.

Mr. Goldson is filthy rich. He’s also callous and cruel and hasn’t got a festive bone in his ancient body. Naturally, he’s due for a holiday haunting. When his business partner, Bolbi Baggs, announces that they’re to be visited by three spirits, Mr. Goldson braces himself for a whirlwind tour of his past, present, and future. Mr. Goldson, however, isn’t human. He’s a Dwarf, and Mr. Baggs is a Halfling, and the adventure that’s about to take them across the enchanted world of Arth is anything but typical.
