Join Anne & Kelli for their 261st NEW episode of #ilovemywife podcast. In this episode they speak openly and honestly about some minor facial procedures they recently had in New Orleans. Kelli's sister, Dr Claire Melancon, is a double board-certified Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon who has her own private practice, Audubon Facial Plastic Surgery, on Magazine Street in New Orleans. They talk about making the decision and how important it is to trust your surgeon and that they trusted Claire implicitly. Anne had a lower blepharoplasty (lower eye lift to remove inherited bags & dark circles) and a CO2 laser peel, all while under anesthesia on New Year's Eve. Kelli had an in-office version of the CO2 peel and was awake during that procedure on Jan 2nd.

They talk about the entire process. From booking a week at an Air B&B and stocking the kitchen with a shopping list made from a menu of salt-free and anti-inflammatory recipes to help with swelling and healing, to the actual details of the procedures, the recovery process that included some considerable setbacks for Anne because of unknown allergies, puzzles, Five Crowns, TV binges and so much more.

Also hear about their extended time in Baton Rouge with Kelli's Mom Mellie, after their week in New Orleans because of Anne's allergic reaction. They went to the movies, played lots of Five Crowns, watched QVC for the first time, and had some meals at two of their favorites, Mansur's and Phil's Oyster Bar before heading back to NOLA for one last check-in with Claire before heading home.

Next, they talk about coming home to an apartment still filled with Christmas decorations and that take down process. They spent time with family that included dinner with their daughter Vivi in NYC, taking Anne's Mom Sue to brunch at the fabulous Valley Rock Inn, and dinner with their son Blake and his wife Teresa to see the new sonogram pics of their baby to come!

They took their 10th annual trip with good friends to see their friend Sandra Bernhard launch her new show at Joe's Pub with dinner at Indochine before, It was super fun and inspiring as always. They spent the night at Hotel on Rivington, one of the House of Kooser properties, and they loved it with an amazing corner room with insane views of the city. Then they headed off for the airport to head to NOLA.

This one was actually recorded from aboard a Uniworld Rivercruise on a Classic Christmas Markets cruise through Germany where Kelli was hosting the entire ship on an LGBTQ hosted week and Anne was the special guest entertainer. They chat about flying to Frankfurt to begin the journey. They stayed at a really cool hotel called Roomers and had birthday dinners for Anne's Musical Director Will and Kelli's business partner Gregg.

Next, they boarded The River Dutchess and were greeted by the Cruise Manager Ramona who they have sailed with many times before. Anne tells a very funny story about setting up all the sound equipment and accidentally thinking The Captain was someone else. They tell you about the warmer weather then they expected, the food at the different Christmas Markets that included a classic frankfurter, lots of Gluwein (mulled wine), lots of stands full of everything you could ever want and so much more. They also talk about Anne's show, piano bar with Will, a onesie dance party, massages on board, Anne's packing obsession and how much fun the whole experience was for both of them.
