With a lengthy history of advocating for underserved youth, social justice, and violence reduction in at-risk communities, April is a committed diversion volunteer facilitator. She received her culinary arts and restaurant management degree before returning to non-profit service-based work. April shares how she overcame a difficult childhood, strives to be a light for struggling youth, and is learning to embrace self-love.
