Gunner, a ten-year-old author, shares his experience of writing and illustrating his Ninja Puppy series, which he started at the age of five. Gunner drew inspiration from his family and his puppy, and created the world of Ninja Puppy. Six books later, publishing a book a year, Gunner is now publishing a new version of his first book in the Ninja Puppy series. Gunner discusses the process of writing and illustrating his book series, and how it inspired his family to start a publishing company, create cool Ninja Puppy merchandise, and promote his books online and with school visits! Gunner plans to continue writing for many years to come.

Today, Amelie interviews two inspiring young authors, Ayla and Calla Rybicki, 8 and 10 years old from Northern Michigan. Ayla and Calla published their first book, Scary Stories for Creepy Kids, when they were 5 and 7 years old, and have gone on to publish a two more books, More Scary Stories for Creepy Kids and Create your Own Scary Stories for Creepy Kids!

They like to keep their stories "short and spooky with a side of silly," and include recipes and their own illustrations! Their latest book is a write-and-illustrate-your-own-scary-stories guide, bringing readers in on the fun!
