Taste is a curious thing. Everyone thinks they have it, but most don’t.

It isn’t about what’s trendy or popular; it’s about recognizing the essence of something special, something timeless. It's the difference between a fleeting fad and an enduring classic, between surface-level appeal and deep, lasting impact.

At What’s Good Miami, we don’t just chase what’s new; we seek out what’s real, what’s meaningful, and what’s worth your time.

From the hidden gems in hospitality, where the warmth of a welcome matters as much as the creativity on the menu, to the cutting-edge cultural moments that define our city, we bring you our Miami. We explore the undercurrents of art and business, the spaces where innovation meets tradition, and where the next big thing is born out of a deep respect for what came before.

In a city where everything seems to have a price tag, we’re here to remind you that the best things in life—the things that truly matter—are beyond valuation.

See you at the beach.

  • Good Company Interview: Lee Schrager, Founder of South Beach Wine & Food Festival
    Oct 11 2026

Lee Schrager has never met a no he couldn’t turn into a yes.

He’ll tell you that himself. When I asked what he wants people to say about him at his funeral, he didn’t hesitate: “No is just a starting place.” He thinks it might end up on his tombstone. I think it already explains everything.

Lee founded the Food Network South Beach and New York City Wine & Food Festivals. He’s Chief Communications Officer at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, and he’s the closest thing this city has to a godfather of food. He’s also an old friend and I have been looking forward to sitting down with him since I started What’s Good Miami.

  • What’s Good Podcast with Camilo Miguel, Mast Capital’s Billion Dollar Builder Asks “Do You Wish You Were There?”
    Oct 2 2026

The Perigon on Collins. Cipriani Residences in Brickell. Little Palm Island in the Keys. Now Banyan Tree Residences in West Palm, the brand’s first residential project in the United States. I sat down with Camilo Miguel Jr., CEO and founder of Mast Capital, at the What’s Good Studio at The Moore for this week’s Good Company interview. Turns out we were born in the same hospital in Manhasset. Here is what stuck.

Miguel put it plainly: “I ask my team all the time, do you wish you were sitting there? Do you wish you were laying by that pool? And the answer needs to be yes.”

  • WGM Weekender: Gil Dezer Pod, the King of Sunny Isles has “the Last Pepsi in the Desert”
    Sep 18 2026

What’s Good Podcast with Gil Dezer, Sunny Isles Builder with the Last Pepsi in the Desert

Six Trump towers. Porsche Design Tower. Armani Residences. Now Bentley Residences, rising on that same strip right now. I sat down with Gil Dezer for this week’s Good Company interview and covered a lot of ground. Here is what stuck.

Dezer put it plainly: “It’s amazing how people can drive by the same street all day long and think it’s junk, but another person can have a completely different vision.”
