⚠️ This episode discusses suicide and grief. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available - see links below.

Mike's birthday and the six-month mark hit within a week of each other. I lost all energy, dropped my habits, and didn't leave the house. This is what getting back looked like - and why I think minimum viable effort is the thing that keeps you moving when everything feels heavy.Steve 💛__📩 Sign up here for The Weekly Check-In: One email a week. • 6 Months Into Grief. This Week Was Hard.
    Apr 9 2026

⚠️ This episode discusses suicide and grief. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available - see links below.

Last Monday was six months since we lost Mike. It also came right after his birthday. And even though I’ve had weeks where I’ve felt surprisingly good, this one was a real emotional dip.

In this check-in I talk about what that’s actually like in real time - how grief isn’t a straight line, how I’ve kept moving even when it’s heavy, and what helped this week (including releasing a track with my brother).

    Steve 💛

  • I Thought Habits Would Fix Everything. Here’s What I Learned About Grief Exhaustion.
    Apr 1 2026

⚠️ This episode discusses suicide and grief. If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available - see links below.

Note: The first 5 minutes or so is just the one angle, as the front camera was out of focus for first five minutes. It's fine from that point!

Mike’s birthday was last week, and I didn’t expect it to affect me - but this week hit hard physically. I talk about the exhaustion, the confusion of not knowing if it’s grief or just being run down, and what I’m changing by treating rest like a habit.
