Welcome to Walking the Walk: Change for the Better a podcast about how changing your perspectives can lead to a better life if you let it. The things that I encounter in my job as a Health Promoter, a solo parent of a queer/non-binary/ADHD teenager and a partner trying to make long distance love work, all impact how I make my way through the world and sometimes that journey is in need of an improvement. If this sounds relatable, then hopefully the lessons I learn along those different paths, as I'm walking the walk will be too. We are all walking alongside each other, and if we can learn from one another along the way, it will have been a journey well spent.

There's a lot of stuff that can get you down. And it's not always big stuff. It can little niggling things, those little things that just get under your skin, or your collar like the little hairs after a haircut. But sweating the small stuff isn't usually the best choice, particularly, when there are ALSO a lot of little things that happen that are actually pretty darn great. This episode I look at both sides of that coin - I'd love to know your list of both the stuff that gets to you and the stuff that lifts you up:)

Here's the songs featured in this episode:

    Basket Case - Green Day

What a Surprise - Neil Sedaka

Driving With Your Eyes Closed - Don Henley

No More Sorrow - Linkin Park

Stressed Out - Twenty One Pilots

I Will Always Love You - Whitney Houston

I Can Sing a Rainbow - Don Spencer

    This Kiss - Faith Hill

Tea for Two - Ella Fitzgerald & Count Basie

    Guitar - Jeremiah 7 (Pixabay.com)

Drive it Like You Stole It - Sing Street Soundtrack

At the risk of sounding like I have no idea what I'm doing or that I know what I should be doing, but have thus far not been able to actually do it, I may (finally) have had the reckoning that I needed. All the stars aligned (maybe) such that a series of stories, a podcast and a method recommended to help people dealing with trauma may have finally been the last piece of the equation that three therapists helped open the door towards. Success is an as of yet undetermined outcome, but at least the process is (possibly) making some progress. Wishy-washy? Maybe...but maybe I'm on the right path at last:)

Songs featured in this episode are:

    Single Kiss (Paul Krecsy)

Talking About a Revolution (Tracy Chapman)

    The Cure (Olivia Rodrigo)

We were in Paris as you may know, and so Todd and I had fun talking about our time there. It was great being able to relive our time there and talk about the highlights and surprises and things that we want to go back and explore some more. There are some "pro-tips" in there for those who have not necessarily been to France, and some recommendations as well, which of course you can take or leave:)

If you've been and think we missed something, I would love to hear your favourite things from Paris. Hope you enjoy our overview and walk down memory lane of a place we certainly hope to be able to return to.
