À propos de cette écoute

Two old Soldiers - one from Ohio and one from Georgia - first meet in 2006 while in Wisconsin training for deployment into Baghdad, Iraq. Through the years, they remain the closest of Friends - no, they remain Family by choice. Unpopped Colonels captures their thoughts. From mobilization, to War, the challenges after returning home, and everything in between, these two retired Colonels have thoughts, insights (dare we say 'wisdom'), and opinions that need to be said and equally so, need to be heard. Tune in to our weekly podcast for interesting topics, guests, and a few war stories along the way.2025 Sciences sociales

      Jun 3 2025

In this episode, the Unpopped Colonels discuss Judicial Activism - the philosophy that judges can and should go beyond the applicable law to consider broader societal-based implications as well as thier own respective social, political, and personal convictions. Are the Federal Courts willfully interjecting themself into the performance of President Trump. Do the Federal Courts have a hidden agenda? Are we in America witnessing a judicial coup d'etat?

    • American Freedom of Speech
      May 15 2025

The Unpopped Colonels introduce their reboot of the Unpopped Colonels Podcast. It's been great with our initial effort, but we're looking for more engagement. So, we're jumping into Current Events and Current Issues (capitalization intended).

In this episode, the Unpopped Colonels discuss one of America's greatest liberties: Freedom of Speech. It's a much overused and mailgned Freedom by those who reaaly don't understand the full value of the gift the Framers of the Constitution granted us all.

There are two categories of the spoken word: 1) protected, and 2) unprotected. Protected indicates the Government cannot impinge of the message offered; this protected speech is narrowly tailord. Unprotected speech means, for lack of a better term - you're on your own.

Freedom of Speech does no way shape or form you can say whatever you want to say, nor does it offer safe harbor to those who are here in our Great Country illegally.
