  • PTSD: There’s Nothing Fucking Logical About It
    Oct 8 2026

You know you’re safe. You know the reaction doesn’t match what’s happening. You know you’re not back there anymore.

And yet your body says otherwise.

In this deeply personal episode, Jamie Lynn talks about what PTSD and complex PTSD can actually feel like from the inside, the triggers that make absolutely no fucking sense, hypervigilance, dissociation, and what happens when your logical brain knows one thing while your nervous system is screaming something completely different.

Jamie Lynn also shares some of her own experiences with complex PTSD, including the parts that aren’t easy to talk about, and reflects on what she learned while writing How Unplugging Almost Killed Me.

This conversation is for the people living with trauma, the ones suffering quietly, the ones talking about it loudly, and the people who love them but don’t always understand what they’re seeing.

Because maybe a trauma response doesn’t have to make sense in the present when it was learned in the past.

Plus, before we get into all of that, we’re nerding out about bumblebees and their surprisingly impressive little brains. 🐝

  • YET: The Word That Leaves the Door Open
    Oct 1 2026

“I’m not living the life I want.”

    Now add one small word:

    “I’m not living the life I want…yet.”

The circumstances haven’t changed, but the possibility has.

In this episode, we explore how the word yet can shift something from a final conclusion into an unfinished story. It doesn’t guarantee that the goal will happen, erase real limitations, or mean that positive thinking can solve everything. It simply refuses to declare the future impossible before life has finished answering.

We’ll look at research on optimism, hope, longevity, goal achievement, and our connection to our future selves. We’ll also explore the difference between active hope and wishful thinking, how to pair possibility with one realistic next step, and why progress can still hold value, even when the original destination changes.

And in this episode’s Nerd Out with Me, we’re uncovering the absolutely ridiculous number of ways a deck of 52 cards can be arranged. It is a number so enormous that I will not be attempting to say it aloud. 😂

Yet it isn’t a guarantee. It’s permission to leave the door open.

  • SILENCE SPEAKS: But Does It Tell the Truth?
    Sep 24 2026

Have you ever shared something vulnerable with someone, and received nothing but silence?

    No reassurance.

    No disagreement.

    No explanation.

Just an empty space your mind immediately began filling with its own conclusions.

In this episode, I’m exploring the many meanings silence can carry, from healthy processing and emotional overwhelm to avoidance, stonewalling, and silence used as punishment or control. We’ll look at why being ignored can hurt so deeply, how our past experiences influence the stories we attach to silence, and the important difference between what someone’s silence meant and what it did.

I also share what can happen when you experience silence so many times that it eventually stops hurting, and why numbness isn’t always the same thing as healing.

Because silence is information, but it isn’t always an answer. And while it may eventually lose its power over you, you shouldn’t have to lose your voice with it.

And in this episode’s Nerd Out with Me, we’re discovering how an innocent-looking fluffy cloud can weigh approximately 1.1 million pounds, because apparently the sky has been holding hundreds of tons of water above our heads, and everyone decided this was perfectly fine. 😂
