  • Ep. 8: The Anxious vs. Avoidant Trap: How Fear Hijacks How You Love
    27 Oct 2026

Welcome back to Unchained Identity with your host, Minerva Payano.

In Episode 8, we dive into restored and healthy relationships. Your unhealed hurts do not stay locked inside—they spill over into the quality of every relationship you have.

Whether childhood abandonment turned you into an anxious people-pleaser walking on eggshells or an avoidant lone wolf who shuts people out, both extremes are rooted in fear. Real restoration begins when you fix your vertical relationship with God before trying to repair your horizontal relationships with people.

    Inside Episode 8:

    • Fear-Driven Love: Breaking down anxious and avoidant attachment patterns.

    • Minerva’s Real Talk: From childhood abandonment at age three and surface-level party friendships to having deep vulnerability weaponized—and how meeting Jesus in 2020 restored her soul.

    • Dry Wells & Living Water: Learning from the Samaritan woman at the well (John 4) to stop making people your savior.

    • Forgiveness vs. Trust: Forgiveness takes one person and God; reconciliation takes two people producing changed fruit (Romans 12:18; Genesis 42–45).

    • The Jonathan Standard: Finding friends who sharpen you and strengthen your hand in God (1 Samuel 23:16).

    • 3 Practical Keys: Throwing away the mental scorecard, speaking truth in love, and leaving isolation for safe community.

    Reflection Questions for This Week:

    1. Do you cling tightly out of panic, or do you keep people at arm’s length so you won't get hurt?

    2. Who have you been expecting to fill a hole only Jesus can fill?

    3. Do the people closest to you strengthen your hand in God, or pull you into compromise?

    4. What unhealthy habit (scorekeeping, silent treatment, people-pleasing) is God asking you to lay down?

  • Ep. 7: Stop Being a Christian Doormat: Biblical Boundaries, Deliverance & Interior Healing
    20 Oct 2026

Welcome back to Unchained Identity with your host, Minerva Payano.

In Episode 7, we tackle a vital pillar of lasting freedom: HEALTHY BOUNDARIES. Last week we learned that forgiveness is non-negotiable—but boundaries are what keep the need to forgive from turning into a toxic, continuous loop.

Boundaries are not selfish, nor do they stem from a lack of love. They are an expression of respect toward yourself, others, and God.

    Inside Episode 7:

    • The Door & The Lock: Matthew 12:43–45 and how boundaries keep unclean spirits from returning to a swept house.

    • Minerva’s Real Talk: Breaking verbal disrespect loops in marriage, establishing clear limits, and regaining self-worth and peace.

    • Biblical Precedent: God setting lines for the ocean, the Tree of Life (Genesis 2:16–17), and Jesus refusing to let the crowd crown Him prematurely (Luke 5:15–16).

    • Escaping the Extremes: Moving away from the "People-Pleaser Savior Complex" and ditching total defensive isolation. A healthy boundary is a fence with a gate, not a stone prison wall.

    • "No" is a complete sentence (Matthew 5:37).

    Reflection Questions:

    1. Do you build "brick walls" that isolate you, or "broken walls" where people walk all over you?

    2. Who makes you feel guilty when you tell them "no"?

    3. In what relationship are you trying to play Savior instead of letting God work?

    4. What area of your life feels completely drained right now due to a missing boundary?

  • Healing Our Emotions: Breaking Destructive Cycles & Finding Freedom in Christ | Episode 6
    13 Oct 2026

Emotions aren't inherently sinful—what damages us is when we let them run rampant and dictate our choices. In Episode 6 of Unchained Identity, we tackle one of the most critical steps in the restoration journey: Healing Our Emotions.

Host Minerva opens up about the reality of walking through post-deliverance pruning, facing overwhelming sadness, and unlearning destructive defense mechanisms. We explore how God validates our pain, why our feelings don't always tell the truth, and how to transition from exhausting self-reliance to true spiritual surrender.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Navigating anger, fear, and sadness without sinning or burning bridges
    • Taking thoughts captive and turning panic into prayer
    • Why emotional maturity comes through the fruits of the Spirit, not willpower
    • Reflection prompts and this week’s 4-Column Emotion Tracker exercise
