Have you heard about the Trail House Project? Three young trail and ultra runners, coached by Matt Daniels, training to be part of the next generation of elite trail runners. Of the cast of characters in the Trail House, Bayden is the mountain running purist. He's humble and hungry. In the podcast, I call him a young Anton, but really he's finding his own path which naturally tends toward high places. He joins Ares Reading and Dylan Flewelling in this home just off the trails outside of Boulder, Colorado. Check out the Trail House channel on YouTube sometime. For sure you'll be hearing more and more about these guys.

Meet Arlen Glick, one of the most fascinating and fast people in the trail and ultra running community. He was featured in the film, The Chase, after he finished third at the Cocodona 250 in 2024. You may be wondering where he's been. He's never been on social media, and he's not currently sponsored by a shoe company. I met the morning after his most recent run at Hardrock when we had a very brief conversation about his race and his plan to take his nephew fishing later that day. Arlen is outgoing, well-liked, and more than meets the eye. We talked about topics ranging from how he got started to his time in prison. Repeated visits. Ministry. I really enjoyed my conversation with him.

I absolutely enjoyed this conversation with Zach Miller, the trail running legend, about his story and journey so far as a trail runner and in life. We talked a little about his fantastic year in 2026, with historic runs at Western States and Canyons; and more about his wedding, handing out donuts at Hardrock, and what brought him here. Zach is undoubtedly one of the most well-known and respected trail runners in the world. By the end of this episode, I think you'll know him better and respect him even more.
