Summary

As an African-American female investigator, international speaker, and published author, I am deeply committed to uncovering the truth and sharing the wisdom gained from my journey. In this podcast, I bring you real-life investigation stories illustrating how trusting our lived experiences and intuition can guide us to what we need to know. By asking the right questions and paying close attention to what is left unsaid, we tap into the power of all our senses to uncover hidden truths. My goal is to inspire others, especially women of color, to trust in their instincts, break through barriers, and harness the strength of listening to what’s not always spoken.

17: Twice Stolen, Twice Suspect: Déjà Vu in Portland
    30 Jul 2025
Two newer cars. Two stolen vehicle claims. Two identical stories that didn’t add up.

In this episode of Top Priority Chronicles, host Jammie Carr takes you inside a case that felt like déjà vu in Portland. The claimant remembered where he bought both vehicles from dealerships, but conveniently couldn’t remember where he parked them, twice, in two different high-theft neighborhoods. Add in a vague “friend” with no contact information, erratic behavior, and suspicious patterns that matched claim #1 to a T… and the investigation went from routine to remarkable.

Join Jammie as she breaks down how fraud investigators recognize red flags, connect patterns across claims, and what really happens when a case crosses the line from suspicious to fraudulent. Because in this business, lightning doesn’t just strike twice… sometimes, it’s a setup.
