The rules: every pick had to appear on that week's chart, and each host had to have actually rented it back in the day, with one wish-I'd-rented exception apiece. Along the way we cover the Kurt Russell number one that neither of us ever watched, why every commercial in 1996 whispered "Mary Reilly," the Stephen King direct-to-video sequel we downloaded and never watched, Nicolas Cage's Oscar-winning detour, Robin Williams returning to the Genie, a proto-Sixth Sense from Terry Gilliam, the height of Adam Sandler mania, the Robert Rodriguez vampire movie that clearly inspired Sinners, the Bond that launched a thousand N64 deathmatches, and the anthology film Guido treasured on previously viewed VHS because Madonna plays a witch.
