  • The Secret Place: Who Are You Becoming When Nobody Sees? | TheChaseRevolution™ | EP. 009
    3 Sep 2026

Who are you becoming when nobody sees?

What if the part of your life nobody sees is carrying more weight than the part everybody sees?

In EP. 009 of TheChaseRevolution™, Alexi Castro enters THE SECRET PLACE to confront the hidden audience, hidden formation, and hidden life that shape who we become in public. Beginning with the parable of the showroom and the workshop, this extended teaching asks whether our lives merely look strong—or have been formed deeply enough to carry weight.

Through Matthew 6, Jesus exposes righteousness performed for human approval and redirects us toward the Father who sees in secret. Giving, prayer, fasting, treasure, allegiance, worry, and seeking first the Kingdom all press one deeper question: Whose eyes are you living for?

    This episode explores:

    THE HIDDEN AUDIENCE

Human applause versus the Father who sees. Two people can perform the same spiritual practice while living for entirely different audiences.

    THE HIDDEN FORMATION

The ordinary choices nobody celebrates—truth, repentance, prayer, Scripture, generosity, worship, forgiveness, purity, rest, promise-keeping, and unseen service—gradually shape character.

    THE HIDDEN LIFE THAT LASTS

John 15 moves the message beyond self-improvement. The workshop cannot manufacture life; only the Vine gives life.

Prayer, Scripture, fasting, confession, worship, Sabbath, generosity, and solitude are not tools for becoming autonomous spiritual performers.

They are places where dependent people receive, respond, repent, remember, and remain in Christ.

Alexi also opens the private question beneath public Christian work: Have I actually been with God—or have I only been working on something about God?

Preparation matters. Craft matters. Excellence can be stewardship, but “for God” must never quietly replace “with God,” and public work must never be allowed to grow faster than the private person.

The secret place is not a mystical technique, an image strategy, a substitute for church and Christian community, or a way to earn God’s favor.

Hidden disciplines cannot save us. Jesus Christ saves, because Jesus died, was buried, rose bodily from the dead, and reigns, we can stop hiding from the God who already sees.

We can confess honestly, receive grace, repent, come into the light, follow Christ, and learn to live faithfully before the Father.

    CENTRAL TRUTH

Who you become with God in secret will shape who you are everywhere else.

    PRIMARY SCRIPTURES

    Matthew 6:1–34 Mark 1:35 Luke 5:16 John 15:1–11 Psalm 139:1–12 Colossians 3:1–4 Hebrews 4:13

    REFLECTION QUESTION

If nobody could applaud, notice, reward, or benefit from your faithfulness, what would remain between you and God?

    THIS WEEK’S PRACTICE

Before today ends, read Matthew 6 and John 15:4–5 slowly. Set aside 15 unhurried minutes with no camera, no post, no content goal, and no public output.

    Read. Pray honestly. Thank God.

Confess what you have been hiding, excusing, or rationalizing. Ask for grace to obey what Scripture has already made clear.

Then choose one hidden practice to protect for the next seven days: prayer, unposted Scripture reading, anonymous generosity, private fasting, immediate repentance, unrecorded worship, or unseen service.

  • Ordered Love: What Is Actually First? | TheChaseRevolution™ | EP. 008
    31 Aug 2026

What if the deepest question shaping your life is not what you are doing—but what you love first?

In Episode 008 of ABIDE, Alexi Castro enters a new movement of the series with ORDERED LOVE: What Is Actually First?

This episode goes beneath the calendar and behavior itself:

What is actually first in your heart?

    CENTRAL IDEA:
Every life is ordered by love. Jesus calls us to love God wholly, love our neighbor rightly, and receive every created good beneath His lordship.

    GOVERNING REFRAIN:
What you love first will order what you choose next.
    First love orders the rest.

The episode opens with The Boardroom With One Chair, a modern parable about competing priorities trying to occupy the place of ultimate authority.

From there, Scripture exposes how our habits, relationships, ambitions, work, possessions, and attention reveal what we treasure, trust, and love.

    IN THIS EPISODE:
    • Jesus and the Great Commandment
    • loving God with heart, soul, mind, and strength
    • treasure, the heart, and two masters
    • Mary and Martha and distraction by many good things
    • Revelation 2, first love, and “do the things you did at first”
    • love and obedience
    • Peter’s restoration in John 21
    • why good gifts become destructive when made ultimate

Alexi also reflects on what happens when good responsibilities compete for first place.

    The question becomes:

What has moved from being a gift in my life to trying to become my god?

Then the episode imagines a life with a true center—where work, relationships, ambition, and created gifts remain good without replacing the Giver, but Christianity does not merely tell us to try harder to put God first.

Our problem is deeper than disordered priorities. Our loves have been disordered by sin.

We have looked to achievement, approval, money, control, pleasure, relationships, success, influence, and even ministry to give us what only God can give.

We do not merely need a better priority list.
    We need new hearts.

Jesus Christ loved the Father perfectly, gave Himself for sinners, died, rose bodily from the dead, reigns, and calls us to repent, believe, follow Him, and abide in Him.

The Gospel does not merely say:
“Try harder to put God first.”

    It says:
    COME TO CHRIST.

Receive grace. Abide in Him. Learn to love because He first loved us.

    SCRIPTURES:
    Deuteronomy 6:4–5 | Matthew 6:19–24 | Matthew 22:37–40 | Luke 10:38–42 | John 14:15 | John 15 | John 21:15–19 | Revelation 2:1–5

    ONE QUESTION:
What is functionally first in your life right now?

    ONE RESPONSE:
Read Matthew 22:37–40 and Revelation 2:1–5 slowly.

    Ask:

“What has been receiving the love, trust, attention, obedience, or identity that belongs first to God?”

Name one disordered love. Bring it honestly before Christ. Then take one concrete step that puts that good back into its proper place beneath His lordship.

What you love first will order what you choose next.
    First love orders the rest.

  • Redeeming the Time: When the Clock Becomes a Servant Again | TheChaseRevolution™ EP. 007
    31 Aug 2026

What if your calendar could tell the truth about what you believe your life is for?

In Episode 007 of ABIDE, Alexi Castro closes The Hour & The Way, a three-part journey through purpose, pace, time, limits, and the lordship of Jesus Christ.

Episode 005 asked: What direction deserves the hour?

Episode 006 asked: What pace does obedience require inside the hour?

Episode 007 asks: How do we steward the hour without worshiping it?

    CENTRAL IDEA:
Time is not our master and it is not our possession. Under the lordship of Christ, finite time becomes stewardship: received with gratitude, ordered by wisdom, bounded by trust, and spent in faithful love and obedience.

    GOVERNING REFRAIN:
The clock is a good servant and a terrible lord.
Number your days—but do not worship the numbers.

The episode opens with a modern parable about a perfect assistant that can optimize every minute but cannot answer: what should all that saved time actually be for?

From there, Scripture confronts the temptation to confuse precision with wisdom, productivity with faithfulness, acceleration with progress, and a full calendar with a meaningful life.

    IN THIS EPISODE:
    • numbering our days without panicking over them
    • Sabbath, limits, and the illusion that everything depends on us
    • discerning seasons in Ecclesiastes 3
    • what Ephesians 5 means by “redeeming the time”
    • why kairos should not become mystical “God-time”
    • wise planning without presuming upon tomorrow
    • why the calendar is an instrument of stewardship—not a contract with reality
    • how technology and AI can serve without becoming masters of meaning

Alexi also reflects on what happens when a well-designed calendar becomes a scoreboard for worth.

Then the episode imagines a different future: a week that no longer accuses you, where work is purposeful, rest is received without guilt, relationships are not interruptions, and technology serves a life ordered by truth, But this is not ultimately a message about better scheduling.

Our deepest problem is not disorganized time. It is sin. Your calendar cannot reconcile you to God. Your discipline cannot erase sin. Your productivity cannot defeat death. Your Sabbath practice cannot earn grace. We do not need merely redeemed schedules. We need to be redeemed. Jesus Christ lived in perfect obedience, gave Himself for sinners, died, rose bodily from the dead, reigns, and calls us to repent, believe, follow Him, and abide in Him. Then work can become service instead of self-salvation. Rest can become trust instead of guilt. Planning can become stewardship instead of control. Technology can become tool instead of master.

    SCRIPTURES:
    Psalm 90:12 | Genesis 1:14 | Ecclesiastes 3 | Exodus 20 | Deuteronomy 5 | Ephesians 5:15–17 | James 4:13–17 | John 15

    ONE QUESTION:
If someone studied your calendar for the next seven days, what would they conclude you believe your life is for?

    ONE RESPONSE:
Read Ephesians 5:15–17 and Psalm 90:12 slowly. Then open your calendar for the next seven days. Remove, move, or protect one block of time so your schedule better reflects what faithfulness requires in this season. Then follow through. Number your days. Receive your limits.
Walk wisely. Let the clock become a servant again.
