      Oct 16 2021

      Michael Julian, CPI PPS CSP
Michael trained under his father and founder of National Business Investigations, Ron Julian, becoming involved in the family business at a young age, assisting his father in many forms of investigations. He majored in Administration of Justice in college where he was inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa International Scholastic Order for academic achievement.
Michael joined the California Association of Licensed Investigators ( CALI ) in 1995 and regularly teaches continuing education courses offered by the association. He is a former District Governor of CALI , has served on the Legislation and Technology Committees, Education & Training Task Force, Board of Directors as the Vice President of Administrative Services for five terms and was elected President for the 2012-2013 term.

To meet the recent increase in demand for executive level and facility security services, Michael developed MINDERS Protective Services as a division of NBI in 2003 and re-branded as MPS Security in 2010.

Along with speaking at security and executive protection conferences throughout the United States, Michael is a trusted security consultant for numerous organizations, teaching workplace violence identification and reaction, and active shooter survival. As named featured security expert by channel ABC 7, Michael Julian is proud to offer his Active Shooter Survival Training to equip the public with the knowledge and confidence to survive an active shooter event.

Michael has been a resident in the Murrieta community for over 30 years and has developed lifelong relationships within the security community. He is extremely passionate about educating people to have a situational awareness mindset. “Everyone should experience an active shooter survival training, not just the executives that can budget for the advanced trainings for the future of their businesses, but all everyone. Mothers, fathers, business owners and neighbors”, says Michael.

“With every tragedy that takes place such as the recent Las Vegas shooting, we should be increasingly aware of our surroundings and learning from each incident. I am approached after each devastating event and asked what could have been done during this scenario to help increase the odds of survival, my active shooter survival training will teach you just that.

How to increase your odds of survival until the police arrive.  The audience will walk away with a knowledge on reflexes and confidence they can use to protect themselves through a combination of drills and their specific departments and classroom learning.

Michael began working full time for NBI in 1990, specializing in surveillance operations. He continued his education by completing the reserve law enforcement academy presented by the California Department of Justice, and studying advanced surveillance techniques offered by the National Association of Investigative Specialists.
