    • Playing Agony Uncle and Mrs Sutton, Special Agent | The Warm-Up
      Jan 23 2026

It’s been over a month since St Mirren celebrated League Cup glory. And Chris Sutton is still waiting on his cheque and case of champers from his old Buddies.

Answering questions from Warm-Up viewers in the latest Mailbag, Chris reflects on the role he played as St Mirren’s Mr Motivator and is asked if he would still refuse to open his curtains if they were playing in his back garden.

In the latest show, Chris, Kris Boyd and Steven Naismith also talk about football influences, team-mates who have tried to persuade them to switch clubs and the captains who drove them to victory.

Heart of Midlothian’s ‘new Scott Brown’ is under the microscope, as is VAR and the officials running it.

Did Naisy nearly move to Celtic? Should we stop the clocks on time-wasting? Who is going down and who is coming up the William Hill Premiership?

And what would have happened if Chris Sutton’s wife had told him to move to Rangers?

All this and more in the latest Warm-Up Mailbag.

      00:00 STARTS

00:27 VAR – how do we make it better?

      02”05 Did a team-mate ever influence a transfer?

06:58 Who is going down and who is taking their place?

12:52 What makes a good club captain?

    • Title can be lost not won this weekend | The Warm-Up
      Jan 19 2026

As Celtic and Hearts prepare for their top of the table clash at Tynecastle, The Warm-Up assembles for a special edition examining one of the tightest title races in recent memory.

For this special show, Paul Hartley and Barrie McKay make their Warm-Up debuts alongside Charlie Adam, looking ahead to this weekend’s game and reflecting on their own experience of title run-ins.

Paul can speak from both painful and happy memory, having come tantalisingly close to title glory with Hearts before going on to win it with Celtic under Gordon Strachan.

Having made over a century of appearances for both Hearts and Rangers, Barrie offers insight into how this current Jambos’ side is handling the pressure, identifying one significant test which has already been passed with flying colours.

Charlie Adam also looks to Ibrox, where a player he worked with at Everton is showing signs of growing into the role of Rangers number 9. Charlie and the team also look at the transfer window, which they believe could decide the title race, at business done and deals still to be made.

Who do you think will lift the William Hill Premiership trophy this season? And who do you think is best positioned for the title run in? Have your say in the comments below.
