  • Breaking Barriers with Mac Conwell of RareBreed Ventures
    May 5 2023

Mac Conwell is the founder of RareBreed Ventures, a pre-seed fund that invests in exceptional founders primarily outside of large tech ecosystems, earlier than everyone else. He raised his first VC fund in public under Rule 506(c) Regulation D while also utilizing the amendment to section 3(c)(1) of the Investment Company Act of 1940. Raising a fund under this ruling comes with rules and it’s not as easy as some might lead you to believe. For starters you can not just take an investors statement of accreditation at their word. You need to do some heavy lifting along the way and documentation is important. Mac will explain some of that to us today.

You can reach out to Mac anytime on Twitter @macconwell or visit RareBreed.vc
